If you're rocking a no-compromise desktop system, you need a burly power supply to match, and OCZ believes it has just the PSU you're looking for. Introduced today is a new flagship model in the company's PC Power & Cooling Silencer MK III series, a 1200W PSU offering more wattage than most users will ever need, and it's 80 Plus Platinum certified to boot.

"PC Power & Cooling has a long history of delivering premium power supplies for power users seeking the ultimate in both performance and reliability," said Steve Lee, Sr. Vice President of Channel marketing and BU GM for Power Management. "The new Silencer Mk III 1200W continues that tradition by offering enthusiasts the highest wattage to date in the series coupled with the flexibility of modular cable design, an impressive 80 Plus Platinum rating, and an adjustable thermal system for ultimate protection and quiet operation."

The spec sheet is a PSU enthusiast's dream. It offers ultra high wattage, modular cabling, energy efficiency, high quality components (including 100 percent Japanese 105C capacitors), a beefy single +12V rail, and a boatload of connections for all your peripherals.

OCZ didn't say how much the new PSU costs, though did mention it's backed a 7-year warranty.

That's incredible. I'm sure it has a huge price tag that comes with it though.

Haha, astute observation:p

I like the aircraft style connectors on that box, even though they're massive overkill.

The seven year warranty is attention grabbing too.

But honestly, if I spend the kind of money that this will probably go for on a PSU, it will probably say "Seasonic" on the label.

Haha, my computer which I'm typing this on has a PSU with barely 1/4 of that.

Looks nice. But i would rather get the ax1200i much sexier.

I cant believe how efficient it is :P

Drool, drool. But fortunately, I don't need this type of power....

That is super sexy.

I assume it's being released as a competitor to the AX1200i and the Platimax models that Enermax offers.

I hope it has a pricetag less than the 1200i, though, as it doesn't have features like Corsair Link, etc.

Still, an excellent PSU from a brand that has consistently delivered excellent products. OCZ branded PSU's are nothing compared to PCP&C.
