Motorola Reveals Atrix HD Smartphone With 4.5" 720p Display, AT&T Support

Who says Motorola has lost its edge? After coming out with one of the planet's slimmest smartphones in the DROID RAZR, the company has revealed its next phone: the Atrix HD. The original Atrix was quite the hit (the keyboard peripheral, perhaps not so much), and this new one is pushing the limits of how large a phone screen can be. Up there with the Optimus Vu from LG and the Galaxy Note from Samsung, this unit has a 4.5" Colorboost HD (1280x720) display. It actually looks a lot like the new DROID RAZR, but the internals are souped right up. There's a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and a Kevlar exterior. Naturally, it'll have some of Moto's software tweaks on top of ICS, and judging by the logo on the bottom, it'll ship on AT&T's network.

Other specs include a 1780mAh battery, 1GB of memory, 8GB of storage, an 8.4mm frame and an 8MP rear camera. It remains to be seen if another Lapdock is on deck, but given that this one's "Business Ready," we're guessing the answer is "yes."
