Matrox Makes DualHead2Go DP And TripleHead2Go DP Adapters Work With Thunderbolt MBP

Thunderbolts aren't reserved for the midnight sky and HTC's smartphone lineup anymore. Apple has turned Thunderbolt into somewhat of a household name already overnight, and while the newest iMac machines are hogging the spotlight this week, the Thunderbolt-equipped MacBook Pro machines that shipped earlier in the year are the star of this show. Matrox has made a name for themselves by popping out dual-card and tri-card solutions, and this new one is no different. The DualHead2Go DP and TripleHead2Go DP Multi-Monitor adapters are now compatible with Thunderbolt-enabled MacBook Pro machines, so your new notebook can gain even more functionality.

Both of these are ready to accept a new firmware update which enables the support, and it'll add the 2x1400x1050 multi-projector resolution to the already comprehensive supported resolution list. In other words, you can now add up to three displays to your new Apple notebook. You'll need to either be a designed or just a pixel lover to justify the cost, but at least it's now a real possibility rather than a pipe dream.
