I'm guessing at least one user will talk about how they don't like Alienware's desktops but like their laptops; but otherwise good deal nonetheless.

Levono is a good notebook manufacturer therefore it's a good deal. Buy, buy, buy!

While it's a shame that Westinghouse from the early 90's will never exist again, we at least have their brand to keep us company. I'm wearious of the 120Hz 60" 1080P TV. I mean it doesn't seem to have LED lights and I don't know if it does 3D...

EDIT: It does not, shame. Seeing as how the 120Hz refresh rate is useless without the 3D function.

The Dell monitor and the OCZ Vertex 2 SSD's are obviously good deals; I don't know why anybody would want to skip out on those deals...

"Good deals today also, It seem that there is balance being established lately with deal from different budgets. The Dell Alienware Aurora Core is a good deal, plenty of power with the 960 and the 6870, which is a good solid card. Great Dell Service as well.   The TV , At 60 Inches, with 120 refresh and 4 ms response time for $899 is great too. A lot the the Westinghouse TV's that I have seen in the past, have ported slower response times around 8 ms, so this is a great step up. As usual the OCZ SSD is a must have."

Wait, what? I thought you didn't like Alienware desktops?

"I don't,  I think Alienware Desktops are overpriced, overweight and outdated machinery. Poor fellow that doesn't know about this Deal and has to pay twice the price for the spec offered in this model. I think Alienware is a soon to be extinct brand. Do you see them at Major Lan Festivals like the recent GeForce LAN tournament ? No, all you see is Maingear, Cyberpower, Ibuypower, Digital Storm, Falcon Nothwest, ect. They have taken a large chunk of the market, on which Alienware can't compete with its current abusive price structure."

"I you were to build a totally new system, what would you do? You would buy the parts from Newegg or another major online vendor and assemble yourself or  with the help of a friend. But what if someone you know seeks advice from you and wants a professionally built system from an online resource, which would pick? I bet a million to one, not Alienware if you really care about that person."

Phew! That's a relief, I thought by you calling this a good deal the apocalypse had come.

No wonder, he's also getting an outdated model that Dell needs to unload quick. No wonder why they no longer offer this on the Alienware website, I do marginally agree with the somewhat agressive pricing though. I mean out of 5 suggested, Maingear, Digital Storm and Falcon Northwest seem to take part in the aggressive pricing as Dell does. (Though that may be counteracted by the quality of the systems themselves.)

I've never been wild about anything Alienware recently, well except for their cool designs but that's mostly it. It also turns out that you can get the same kind of system for mostly the same price the deal is offering (minus the free shipping) by as you said, shopping on Newegg. List below...

So even if the deal expires you can have mostly the same computer for the same price.

But hey, we can take this as a sign that Sandy Bridge-E is going to be released really, really soon right?

"Well Maingear is one the most expensive out of the boutique builders I mentioned, but you will still get more bang for the buck components with them than Dell, I also noticed you also pay for some great warranty coverage, so its very worth it."

"Yeah, which is why I recommended the Aurora deal. But you also have to factor in Win 7, a keyboard and mouse to the cost in NewEgg to match the Alienware system. One can't deny that Dell has great customer service to assist you with any issues."

"I don't think this deal has any connections with SB-E, its just what Dell does all the time. But I believe they do have an overstock of X58 chips and motherboard. SB-E will be out next month, it official."
