Fujifilm Intros Finepix Z900 EXR Point-And-Shoot Camera

New point and shoot cameras aren't hard to find. It seems that every other month or so, a company comes forward with another new model. Fujifilm's the latest to do so, with the Finepix Z900 EXR being a stylish new entry into the Z-series of compacts. This new model has a 16MP EXR CMOS sensor, a Fujinon 5x wide-angle lens (28-140mm equiv.), and a larger-than-average touchscreen (3.5") that'll act to preview your shots and even let you touch for menu changes.

As for features? There's a new EXR Auto mode that recognizes 27 scenes, one-touch access to full 1080p HD movie capture, an intuitive Dual Direction GUI with beautiful vector font that allows for smooth and easy navigation with an improved Flash animation user interface with “tap and shoot” capabilities and fast image tagging with automatic upload functions to YouTube and Facebook. The one standout feature that Fujifilm points out is the EXR Sensor, which enables high-speed continuous shooting, multi-frame technology and great low-light performance for its size. The Z900 EXR can be left on EXR Auto Mode and the cameras will do all the work for you, or you can manually select one of three EXR Priority modes: High Resolution (HR); Dynamic Range (DR), which takes two pictures and combines them to provide a range of up to 1600%; or High ISO, Low Noise, which is perfect for capturing stunning pictures in low light situations.

A 1080p movie mode in a camera that's just 18.2mm thick? Sold! It'll be out this May for $279.95.

That's a decent price for a little, full featured camera.

Quality low light shots are something to strive for. So many of today's mid range cameras don't do well in low light conditions.

Fuji makes some nice gear all the way around to though so I would trust them personally.
