E FUN's 7" Next6 Android Tablet Ships For $270

Never heard of E FUN? You aren't alone. The company's hardly a household name, but they're one of the many "little guys" popping out e-readers, tablets and handhelds in a bid to fend off those mega-corporations like Apple, LG and Samsung. The company is this week announcing that their Next6 capacitive touchscreen Android tablet is now shipping, providing a little competition to the 7" Galaxy Tab.

This model also has a 7" LCD, along with built-in Wi-Fi, an e-reader application, SlideME application manager and an admittedly large bezel. Users will get 25 eBooks pre-loaded, and while there's no access to the Android Market, you will find a custom market to download applications from. You'll also get 4GB of built-in flash memory, an SD card slot, built-in speakers, a G-sensor and USB connectivity.

The major selling point here is price: it's marked at just $269.99, which includes a case and can ship immediately. Is it worth your time to mess with a lower-end tablet? If you're into saving money, it might be...
