CyberPowerPC’s FangBook X7 Offers Up Killer Specs, Tasty Price

CyberPowerPC announced the latest in its lineup of gaming laptops, the FangBook X7 series, and the base configuration offers some excellent specifications. Under the hood of the base model (the FangBook X7-100), there’s an Intel Core i7-3630QM processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX graphics, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 7200RPM 750GB HDD, and a DVD Super-Multi drive.

The 17.3-inch (full HD, 1080p backlit) notebook also sports a backlit RED keyboard, speaker system with a subwoofer, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth, HDMI, USB 3.0, and a 720p webcam. Windows 8 is pre-loaded on the system, as well, and the whole package is beastly heavy at just under 8 pounds.

Those are nice specs, but the price tag is attractive, as well; the above configuration costs $1,299. All things considered, that’s not too shabby. (Shoot, a Surface Pro tablet with appropriate accessories will cost you well over a grand.)

CyberPowerPC is offering two additional versions of the FangBook X7, the X7-200 and X7-300. Compared to base model, the X7-200 has double the RAM and the option for a 64GB SSD ($1,499), while the X7-300 has a slightly better graphics card in the GTX 680M, twice the RAM, a Blu-ray combo drive, and a 64GB SSD/1TB HDD RAID setup ($1,799). And of course, you can further upgrade the components on any of those models.
