Boingo Brings Wi-Fi To NOOK Color Users Via New App

Boingo still isn't available in quite enough places, but they're getting closer. The Wi-Fi provider has just announced a new version of its Wi-Fi app for Android is now available to NOOK Color customers as a free NOOK App through the Barnes & Noble NOOK Bookstore. The app marks the first deal between B&N and Boingo, giving NOOK Color users access to over 325,000 Wi-Fi hotspots around the world with a single click. One Boingo account gives customers direct access to over 125 networks with the same login.

Now that the NOOK Color is becoming a lot more then an eReader, there's reason to get it online a lot more. With tablet capabilities, having one-click access to hotspots makes a lot of sense. Too bad there's no discount looped anywhere in here, but if you've found yourself using your eReader as a tablet these days, it may be a nice perk for those already subscribed to Boingo's services.
