We're not talking minor reductions here either, but major discounts that include 75 percent off Portal 2 ($4.99), 50 percent off Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ($29.99), and 88 percent off the Sega Hit Collection ($49.99), to name just a few.

Today's Community Choice pick is Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, which has been marked down 75 percent to $2.49. The next Community Choice pick will be Rage for 66 percent off, Darkness II for 75 percent off, or Assassin's Creed Revelations for 66 percent, depending on which one receives the most votes.
In addition, Steam has a right-hand column that consists of Flash Sales, which represent a handful of deeply discounted titles for a limited time.
