Apple To Reveal iOS 5, Lion Features At WWDC

Is WWDC 2011 really going to be about software? Maybe! Apple's yearly developers meeting has become the launchpad for great new hardware in years past. In fact, the iPhone refresh has come at WWDC the past couple of years. But it looks like this year's event may actually be about software, not hardware. According to a new release (shown in full below), Apple will take the chance to unveil Lion, the eighth major release of OS X, as well as iOS 5, the next version of the mobile OS that powers iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

WWDC will feature more than 100 technical sessions presented by Apple engineers, and while the company's clearly not giving away any secrets, this does lend credence to the thought that the new iPhone won't be announced here. Maybe it'll be the "one last thing," but we're just trying to let you down lightly here. Of course, new software is also great, but the real question is this: "when's the new iPhone coming?"

now they could make lion-o the official spokes person for lion. THAT would be an awesome supprise. The thing i want to see is how will this icloud stuff work. Google as been giving this away for free for years with gmail and everything else that syncs to your phone for free. If icloud does syncing for free, im sure people will hail it the next great thing and that apple invented it.

apple is very secure about their new products .. Would not even tell me the day before they released the iphone 4 that it was coming out the next day .I almost get a 3gs. so there is no secret that they wont say a word till it allowed by the high ups . but I do hope they did a better job on cameras and work out all the bugs before they release it . no antenna problems.. even though I got the free case lol good luck apple fans
