ATI's 1GB FirePro V7750 GPU Aims For Pros

Slotted just between the existing ATI FirePro V5700 and the high-end FirePro V8700, the all new FirePro V7750 is positioned to bring creative professionals loads of horsepower for under a grand. AMD asserts that its latest pro-level graphics accelerator is ideally suited for graphics professionals working in engineering, digital content creation and scientific fields by giving users the ability to handle "large models and shader-intensive applications, while delivering accurate color reproduction and superior visual quality."



As for specifications, the card includes 320 stream processors, a full 30-but display pipeline, 1GB of GDDR3 memory, 28.8GB/sec of memory bandwidth, 8/10/18-bit color depth support, one dual-link DVI connector, twin DisplayPort outputs, a PCI Express 2.0 x16 bus interface, Unified Shader architecture and certification for many CAD and DCC applications pending.

The ATI FirePro V7750 graphics accelerator is available on HP workstations, but if you're hoping to pick one up in retail form, you can do so by handing over $899.
