Steve Jobs once said, "I want to put a ding in the universe."

I was in an Italian resturant with my wife and the TV that's always on overhead was honking and spewing about Sarah Palin "NOT RUNNING" for POTUS.

Then they came on to say that Jobs had passed on. My wife said,.."Sarah's gonna be pissed-off that Steve stole her Publicity Thunder tonight". Sarah Who?

He made a huge ripple in the puddle of life. he will be missed.

It is hard to describe the blue feeling been experiencing with the death of Steve Jobs, and  how much he is missed.Maybe best to a describe a sadness and genuine admiration for a man that's as true of a passionate genius for all of us.Tech types or not ..everyone.

Like the insights with some of the products and the Asus AIO still looks like a solid solution for a variety of situation..like off kitchen, dorm Aunt Mavis etc

Just wanted to say:

Thank you  Dave, Marco, &  Iyaz,  the HH Team and the All the Great Sponsors for the Labor Day Giveaway Again..

Also to  All the Members of this 'Gem of a Community" which I enjoy participating in every day .

That ASUS Eee Pad is sounding better and better. If it was detachable from the keyboard I would probably have to get somebody to hide my debit card :)

Congrats again rrplay and enjoy your HotHardware custom rig :)

"I learned of Mr Jobs passing away as I was sitting at my desk doing some extra hours at work. How times have change, when before, years ago the my primary source of news would be from TV, a news station . I got the news from my Facebook News feed from Cnet. *BREAKING: The AP and Bloomberg are reporting that Steve Jobs has died. Story to come.* "

"In all honesty, I think I was one of the maybe few people or maybe lots of people, who actually though that Mr Jobs would be here longer then that. I did not expect him passing away this year. It seems like it was just yesterday when I saw the Cupertino City council meeting as well as the Ipad 2 unveiling.  Watching back at old archives from the TV News coverage, Youtube videos and articles that I have read about Steve's and Apples product, you cant deny the man had a passion for his work and vision, the man is a true meaning of the the word *Ultimate Hustler*, in Hip Hop terms. I like to think that, the World wont be Different without him"

"Well, on a lighter note, I checked out the Starwars.com/hothardware , even hoth-ard-ware, and other variations  , LOL. Request page not found. But the funny thing is, that on the search box , I typed H and the first thing to pop out  was Hothardware, ROFL , I guess others before me were fooled by the Evil Lord Marco."

"On a side note, I'm guessing Marco has pre-ordered the Kindle Fire?"

"Again, Cogratzzz to rrplay, when someone needed help, he's right there to help, and work with other members to find a solution, not put others down to try to look good or better than anyone just to win points.  Again,  excellently deserved."

Really, I've learned from someone who said it out loud while she was reading her Facebook account, man how the times have changed. I still my news from TV seeing as how I don't have many friends to justify the usage of my facebook account without looking like a whore and I don't feel like using Twitter as much anymore. Side note: Nobody knows what your job is, I mean even reilneil has stated that he worked on the space shuttle program, so what do you do?

Wheatley:
"In all honesty, I think I was one of the maybe few people or maybe lots of people, who actually though that Mr Jobs would be here longer then that. I did not expect him passing away this year.

He had pancreatic cancer, rarely any people are known to survive from pancreatic cancer and those that do live long lives. He even prepared for his own death since he invited people into his home, he gathered around his closest friends and he even gave out some words of wisdom, (and this is from watching TV news.) Did Steve Jobs expect he'd live longer then that if he did all that stuff?

*sigh* I do have to admit that no one can deny the impact that he had, and well with his successor out there doing the same stuff Steve is doing, I think the entire world will be fine.

Again, congrats rrplay; you are more devoted then I will ever be, I mean sharing the content on facebook? you must be their #1 fan, and thanks HH for giving us the chance to win computers and make the community a better place; shame that we get lots of folks who only join for the contest and don't stay with the community. I mean I was only here for the contest but now I've become a settled in part of the community and I don't mind if I lose that much, just as long as I get to contribute and connect with everybody here. Aside from that, rrplay is a real community hero and is well deserving of that win, he just makes the community that much better.

No, you're definitively a ~Hooker~ and not a whore. Smile

And my wife is a 4-Time cancer survivor.

The appeal of my current Kindle is the e-Ink display; it's just so easy on the eyes

I love my old school Kindle too. It ~IS~ easy on the eyes so I read with it at night more than the Nook and the iPad.

Your nose is growing Pinocchio,er, I mean Taylor, you need to show me where I posted that bit of BS buddy, I worked on the Space Shuttle program and met a number of the Astronauts. I retired from that job too.

Whoops, guess I must of thought of that wrong. Yes, I'll go back and correct that, thank you for reminding me of my mistake.

Hmmm... Haven't though of it before; it does remind me of the time when there was a competition to name every episode of the podcast but I guess my ideas never won out any time. (It's really hard for me to lose that competition mentality; but my mentality doesn't make me think of other users as competitors.) Besides that case, naming podcasts is a good idea and well, if possible I'd like to put the name "Hot-haard-waare's Secret StarWars.com Section" for Episode 36 out for discussion.

EDIT: @rrplay Ah, thanks for clarifying.

Actually i just referring to a name of the vid cast for personal reference to recall sections of it like :the blue orb mic is the one with the favorite peripherals.Trip to Maingear is easy.or Llamar 's family style build episode, the Intel /Win 8 preview or one of  the earlier ones 'lighten -up' something like that.Just a another way to navigate the site and link to articles too. I dunno just depends.

The "I Tablet In Bed"  issue would be the perfect name for this one. I was LMFAO when he said that so guiltily.

HAHA! I went to try the Star Wars URL as well! And no Kindle Fire for me. The appeal of my current Kindle is the e-Ink display; it's just so easy on the eyes. I spend all day in front of an LCD--the last thing I want to do in bed is have another blazing in my eyes just before going to sleep.

As usual thanks for the broadcast I always enjoy them.
As far as Steve Jobs is concerned the man certainly change the world of technology. But the true mark that I believe he leaves with his legacy is that he changed lives. Working in a school system I see imparied students successfuly use the iPad to communicate with their teachers without that technology their lives would not be as fulfilling.

Love the ASUS Slider tablet I think this really is going to be a hit with the Android crowd. You mention the Ultrabooks comparing in weight and size. Do you think that the ultrabooks are going to take some of the tablet craze away from the market?

your fortune is "Indulge use a tablet" add what goes with every fourtune to the end and it is Daves guilty pleasure.

rrplay certainly deserved to win that nice HH special rig. Congrats.

Marco gave away the Super secret probation site starwars.com/hothardware
