Apple WWDC 2015 To Showcase Next Generation iOS And OS X Software, Kicks Off June 8

Apple has today announced that it will be kicking off the 26th iteration of its WWDC on June 8, and as usual, it'll be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

As was the case last year, Apple will be choosing developers to purchase tickets at random, and also like last year, those tickets will cost $1,599 each. If you're interested in attending this year's WWDC, you can't waste any time; you must head here to register and do so no later than April 17, 10AM PDT.

It seems obvious that Apple will use this WWDC to talk about iOS 9 and OS X 10.11. "Apple’s renowned developer community will come together to learn about the future of iOS and OS X, helping them continue to create the most innovative apps in the world. WWDC will feature more than 100 technical sessions, over 1,000 Apple engineers, hands-on labs to help developers integrate new technologies and fine tune their apps, as well as the Apple Design Awards which showcase the best new apps in the last year."

One of the best parts of WWDC as a developer is being able to connect with a huge number of Apple's own developers, and the company notes that last year, over 60 countries were represented at the event. Fortunately, if you are unable to attend, Apple will be streaming a number of the technical sessions online for free throughout the week, and regardless of whether or not you'll be attending, you may want to download the official WWDC app to keep up with the goings-on.
