Want Your Apple Device Delivered by Christmas? Check Out These Order Deadlines

The holiday shopping season is zooming right on by, and if you celebrate Christmas, time is quickly running out to order goods and have them arrive on time. Planning to plop an iPad Air under the Christmas tree for little Billy this year? Time has run out if you want to get it engraved, but for a non-engraved tablet, you can order today and still have it arrive in time with standard shipping, or order by December 22 with next-day shipping.

Apple has put together a series of handy charts showing the cut-off dates for several products and shipping options in order to receive them by December 24th. In addition, the Cupertino company is offering free standard shipping on everything now through December 22, though again, be mindful of the cut-off dates if you're picking up a Christmas gift.

iPad Deadline

Some items can go out via standard shipping as late as December 18, such as a standard (and NOT a custom configured) MacBook Air, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (with or without engraving), and a few other items.

The deadline for Apple gift cards and iTunes gift cards has already passed for standard shipping, though if you pony up for next-day shipping, you have until December 22. However, these items are commonly found locally, sometimes at a discount, so you may want to shop around before paying a premium on shipping.
