Official Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Renders Leak, Reveal Large Camera Lens Protrusion

We’re just days away from its official reveal, but the Galaxy S6 Edge leaks just continue to drip from Samsung’s leaky faucet. Yesterday, we posted some real life images of the Galaxy S6 Edge and its Galaxy S6 sibling.

Today, CNET Korea has gotten its hands on official press renders of the Galaxy S6 Edge and it’s quite a striking device. The device in seen from multiple angles, clearly showing off its curved display which wraps around the left and right edges. We also get glimpses of the enlarged home button when is said to be home to a Touch ID-esque touch fingerprint sensor.

We also get a clear look at the rather large camera “hump” that protrudes from the rear of the Galaxy S6 Edge. Xiaomi put Apple in its crosshairs for the protruding camera lens on the iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus, so we’d definitely be interested to hear its take on the Galaxy S6 Edge’s much larger protrusion. Earlier this month, Samsung touted big improvements to the camera on its upcoming flagships, while earlier reports have suggested the rear camera could feature a 20MP image sensor.

We’ll definitely hear all the juicy details on both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge next week, but expect both devices to include QHD displays, Samsung’s own octa-core Exynos 7 processor with at least 3GB of RAM, and likely up to 128GB of onboard storage courtesy of Samsung’s new ultra-fast UFS 2.0 embedded memory.
