NVIDIA SHIELD Pro Android TV Ships Today For $299.99

NVIDIA's SHIELD Android TV device has been available for a couple of weeks now, but only in the regular 16GB version. Now, NVIDIA has announced that it's begun shipping the "Pro" model, which in addition to including a 500GB hard drive, bundles in a free copy of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It might be worth noting that this game is an Android native title, so no streaming will be required.

If that bundle somehow doesn't entice you, NVIDIA has even more up its sleeves. Anyone who purchases either of the SHIELD models will receive $30 credit for the Google Play store as well as a free three-month subscription to Google Play Music. That's $60 worth of free stuff with the regular SHIELD, and $90 worth with the Borderlands inclusion for the Pro.

Not familiar with SHIELD? Marco wrote up a detailed look at it last month and surmised that it's a bit pricey, but overall an excellent device. Plus, it supports 4K Netflix, which is one of the very few ways to get any 4K content right now.
