Limited Edition ‘Gears of War 4’ Xbox One S With 2TB And Bloody Claw Marks Revealed

Following up its unveiling of the Xbox One S at E3 in June, Microsoft is now announcing the first custom version of the unreleased console, a limited edition system themed after Gears of War 4. Based on the single press photo Microsoft's made available, we have to admit it's one of the better looking themed Xbox consoles to date, and a must-have if you're a diehard Gears of War fan.

The Xbox One S Gears of War 4 console is a limited edition release, though Microsoft didn't specific exactly how many it's making available. As the first-ever custom designed Xbox One S, Microsoft set the bar by succeeding in its goal of making it look like it was plucked right out of the game. It sports a war torn red and black color combination, complete with battle marks.

"Advances in technology and manufacturing techniques really let us free up our imaginations. From the laser-etched scratches, to the bloody thumbprint on the controller’s red metallic D-pad and the iconic Crimson Omen, we looked closely at what we could do with every piece of hardware," Microsoft stated in a blog post.

The limited edition bundle includes a capacious 2TB hard drive, themed controller, full game download of Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition for both Xbox One and Windows 10, early access to the game on October 7, and Gears of War 4 Season Pass featuring the exclusive Vintage VIP Pack, permanent access to future multiplayer maps for private games, half a dozen Gear Packs, early previews to upcoming modes, and more.

To sweeten the pot, Microsoft's also throwing in a bunch of in-game content including the Vintage Oscar Elite Gear Pack, Pre-Order Vintage Del Gear Pack, and six additional Gear Packs. That's quite the bundle.

The Xbox One S itself is a smaller version of the Xbox One. It features a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player and High Dynamic Range (HDR) support for videos and games, along with an internal power supply—no more external power brick! There's also an integrated IR blaster.

You can pre-order the Xbox One S bundle now for $449.
