If you’re a business looking to give your mobile warriors a truckload of power in a portable package, Hewlett-Packard is delivering in spades with the new ZBook Studio mobile workstation. The company says that this is the world’s first quad-core workstation available in an ultrabook form-factor.

The ZBook Studio features a sleek machined aluminum and die-cast magnesium body that weighs 4.4 pounds and measures just 18mm thin. Inside, you’ll find plenty of high-end hardware including your choice of Skylake-based Intel Core i7 or Xeon processors and support for up to 32GB of DDR4-2133 ECC RAM. A variety of storage options are available ranging in size from 128GB SATA SSD all the way up to 2TB courtesy of dual HP Z Turbo Drive G2 (NVMe PCIe SSD).

The notebook comes with a 15.6-inch display, which is available in two screen resolutions: 1920x1080 and 3840x2160. Powering those displays is your choice of integrated Intel graphics solutions (HD Graphics 530, HD Graphics P530 or Iris Graphics Pro P580 depending on the processor selected). If you require more power, you can also check off a discrete NVIDIA Quadro M1000M GPU with 3GB of GDDR5 memory on the option box.

To handle your wireless connectivity needs, you’ll be served by 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 radios. External ports are plentiful on the ZBook Studio and include three USB 3.0, two Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 1.4 and GbE connections.

HP ZBook Dock

If those external ports aren’t enough for you, HP will gladly sell you the ZBook Dock, which plugs into a free Thunderbolt 3 port. The ZBook Dock gives you an additional four USB 3.0, two DisplayPort, two Thunderbolt 3, VGA, GbE and audio ports.

The ZBook Studio ships later this year with a starting price of $1,699, while the ZBook Dock will arrive alongside with a price tag of $229.
