Dell Reveals XPS 14 And 15 Laptops

Dell is rounding out its XPS lineup with the introduction of the XPS 14 and XPS 15 laptops. The XPS 14 and XPS 15 laptops now support third-generation i5 and i7 Ivy Bridge processors from Intel. They also offer USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort, and HDMI Out ports, Waves MAXX Audio 4, backlit chiclet keyboards, responsive multi-gesture trackpads, and integrated HD webcams.

The XPS 14 touts all-day battery life (up to 11 hours) and a design that measures less than an inch thick and weighs as little as 4.6 pounds. Other key features of the XPS 14 include an edge-to-edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass, up to 8GB of RAM, integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics or NVIDIA GeForce GT 630m graphics, and Intel’s 6235 wireless adapter. The XPS 14 starts at $1,099.

The XPS 15 has more of a focus on content creation and multimedia. This laptop also measures less than an inch thick and weighs as little as 5.79 pounds. Key features include a 15.6-inch display, up to 16GB dual-channel DDR3 1600 MHz memory, a slot load Blu-ray disc drive, hard drive options up to 1TB, optional GeForce GT 640m graphics, and up to eight hours of battery life. The XPS 15 starts at $1,299.
