Bethesda Teases Fallout 4, Big Reveal Set For Wednesday

Could it be? Is it really happening? Yes, it’s happening (cue Ron Paul waving hands GIF)! Bethesda has something most excellent brewing, and an announcement is confirmed for 10AM EDT tomorrow. That means that the long-rumored Fallout 4 will soon be upon us, or at least something within the Fallout realm.

Bethesda Game Studios made the announcement via its official Twitter account, and directed the users to fallout.bethsoft.com. From there, visitors are greeted with an animated “Please Stand By” image which is a dead ringer for the loading screens found in Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 3.  The image is graced with a timer that counts down to the official 10AM announcement on June 3.

As some rather rabid fans have pointed out, there’s even more information lurking behind the scenes if you check out the page’s source:

PA system failure has occurred. Shutdown of the Masterbrain has been authorized and all sensitive materials have been removed for security purposes. Please attempt re-access. Have a pleasant day.

For those in the know, this is a reference to the Masterbrain from Fallout 3.

So kick back and relax, all will be revealed tomorrow morning. And if that isn’t enough, Bethesda has its first ever E3 briefing scheduled for Sunday, June 14. Seems like the perfect opportunity to trot Fallout 4 on stage…
