Apple Officially Raises The iPhone 7 Flag And Sends Out Launch Event Invitations

It’s not “May the 4th be with you” but Apple exclaims that they will “See you on the 7th.” There will be an Apple event on Wednesday, September 7th at 10:00 AM at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California, in which it is widely expected that Apple will announce the new iPhone 7.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are rumored to include dual-lense cameras, better processors, 3GB of RAM, improved water resistance, a new home button (or perhaps lack thereof), but forego the headphone jack. The phones will include a minimum of 32GB with a possibility of up to 256GB of storage. They may also incorporate the True Tone feature which is able to adjust the display to ambient lighting.

Apple is also likely to introduce the second-generation Apple Watch. This device will likely boast a better processor, improved water resistance, and even a built-in GPS chip. The Apple Watch is unlikely to come in a new design, however, many believe that new straps are a possibility.

It is doubtful that Apple will announce a new MacBook Pro or other Apple devices. A new MacBook Pro announcement is due for later this year. It is also improbable that Apple will announce a new iPad. Apple fans should, however, expect the release of the launch dates for iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10. iOS 10 and watch OS3 are supposed to be released before the iPhone 7, while tvOS 10 will possibly be released at the end of the month.

The latest Apple OS is not radically different from its predecessor, but it does include some useful new features. The Raise to Wake feature allows users to simply lift up their iPhones to quickly access their notifications. Quick Type is a deep learning-based Intelligent Suggestions system, which can insert relevant information into emails or text message conversation. Siri has even been opened up to developers, which has likely lead to some substantial improvements.
