Amazon Prime Reading Offers Unlimited Access For Kindle Books, Comics, Magazines

Being an Amazon Prime member has a bunch of perks, not the least of which is free two-day shipping on millions of qualifying items. However, it's become much more than a free-shipping program over the years. Members get unlimited streaming access to select movies and TV shows (Prime Video), ad-free access to more than a million songs (Prime Music), and a whole lot more. On top of all, Amazon today yet another perk called Prime Reading.

Prime Reading is a great addition for bookworms. With Prime Reading, Prime members can enjoy unlimited reading from a rotating selection of books, magazines, comics, and more. And like the many other benefits to the Prime membership program, there's no additional fee for Prime Reading—it's available to all Prime members living in the United States. Right now. Today. Why are you still reading this?

"Prime is the best deal in the history of shopping and today it got even better," said Greg Greeley, Vice President Amazon Prime. "Prime members can now enjoy an awesome selection of books including The Hobbit, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, The Man in the High Castle, plus magazines and more with Prime Reading – all for free on any device."

The new perk is available immediately to members. To take advantage of it, just download the Kindle app for iOS or Android, or bust out your Kindle or Fire tablet. You'll find that there's a diverse selection of over 1,000 popular books to choose from, plus magazines and exclusive short content.

Since this is tied to the Kindle app, the Kindle features work with Prime Reading, things like Page Flip, X-Ray, and so forth.

Amazon Prime runs $99 per year if paid in full upfront or $10.99 per month for a monthly subscription, both following a 30-day free trial. If you're a student at a qualifying school, it's half price, plus the free trial period is bumped up to six months.
