Sprint Will Now Cover All Expenses Related To Divorcing Your Wireless Carrier

Sprint is pulling out all the stops to lure wireless customers away from their existing providers, such as offering to cut subscribers' bills in half when they switch over from AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile. That offer still stands, only now Sprint is sweetening the pot by offering to pay all costs associated with switching, including early termination fees and remaining payments on installment plans.

It doesn't matter how you much you owe on your subsidized phone or what the termination fees would be to switch over the Sprint -- the telecom wants your business so badly that it's willing to absorb the costs no matter how high.

"Sprint is dedicated to its customers," said Tom Roberts, senior vice president-Marketing, Sprint. "We have invested millions of dollars in our network and offer the most competitive rate plans in the industry. And, now we are making it easy to see what Sprint is all about by paying your costs to switch including early termination fees. We want all U.S. wireless consumers to find out what our 56 million customers already know – Sprint offers the best value in wireless."

To take advantage of the deal, you need only do the following:

  1. Bring your number from any other carrier with an early termination fee or phone installment plan balance.
  2. Activate a device on Sprint Easy Pay, iPhone for Life Plan, Sprint Lease, or pay full retail price with a new line of service.
  3. Register online at www.sprint.com/joinsprint and upload a bill showing applicable charges for reimbursement within 60 days of activation.
  4. Turn in your competitor's phone in good working condition tied to the bill submitted (Sprint will send you a prepaid return kit in the mail).

Once you've completed the above steps, Sprint will reimburse you as promised, though it comes in the form of an American Express Reward Card and not cold, hard cash.
