Two big names in gaming are coming together for one kickass, Intel-powered gaming rig. Those two companies are Razer and Maingear, and the product of their collaboration is the Maingear R1 Razer Edition gaming desktop.

Given the partnership between the two companies, you can see some of the signature design characteristics of each in the R1 Razer Edition. Razer lends its green lighting and minimalistic black exterior design. Maingear’s always exceptional build quality and Origami Wiring is clearly on display. The overall look is very clean, and we’re sure that Slimer would be right at home inside this glowing green gaming case.

When it comes to the high-end components that you can load up inside the R1 Razer Edition, you can choose from Intel H110-, Z170- or X99-based motherboards and select up to a Core i7 6950X 10-core processor. Up to 128GB of DDR4-2666 memory is supported (via 8 bays in a 4-channel setup). A number of SSD configurations are supported, including SATA, 2.5-inch NVMe, PCI-E NVMe, and M.2 NVMe options. SSD storage tops out at a 1.2TB Intel 750, although 1TB Samsung 850 Pro SSDs are also available.

When it comes to graphics, only the best will do. Gamers can configure dual NVIDIA GeForce Titan X GPUs in SLI or two Radeon R9 Fury X GPUs in a CrossFire configuration. And to ensure that all of this high-powered gaming goodness is properly fed, Razer is offering up to a 1200-Watt Corsair Professional Series AX1200 80+ Gold Certified modular power supply.
