AOC Steps Out With 35-Inches Of Curved Gaming Monitor Love At 144Hz

If you’re into curved monitors, especially if you’re a gamer, AOC has debuted a new monitor that is sure to grab your attention. The C3583FQ is a 35-inch class monitor using standard TFT Active Matrix display technology that features a 2000R curvature — and it’s now available in the United States.

“To envision the C3583FQ’s 2000R curvature, imagine making a circle of just C3583FQ monitors,” writes AOC. “The screens would be 6.5 feet away from a seat placed at the circle and the circle of monitors would have a diameter of 13 feet.”

The monitor, which features a black and silver finish, has an impressive 144Hz refresh rate and a fast 4ms response time. You won’t need high-end graphics cards to push pixels through the C3583FQ, as it features a 2560x1080 HD screen resolution (AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 470 could be a perfect partner for this monitor). Other features include color depth of 16.7 million, 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness rating and 178-degree viewing angles (horizontal and vertical).

AOC says that the 21:9 monitor allows users to “watch 21:9 widescreen films and get a full 32” wide image with no black bars on the top or bottom.”

Inputs for the C3583FQ include one VGA, one DVI, two HDMI, and two DisplayPort connections. We’d also like to point out the rather chunky-looking base for the monitor — that’s where all of the display connections are housed. The monitor also includes two 5W, rear-facing speakers (yes, you read that correctly).

The C3583FQ is available for purchase right now from Amazon for $599.
