Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Renders Leak A Month Before Official Reveal

All eyes are on Samsung as it gets ready to release its next phablet device, the Galaxy Note 7, which is likely to be announced in about a month (based on past Galaxy Note unveils). Until then, you can expect the speculation and rumors to continue, along with the inevitable leaks such as the first official looking press renders.

The latter comes courteous of Evan Blass, otherwise known as @evleaks on Twitter, who seems to always be three steps ahead of everyone else when it comes to these things. He tweeted out a picture showing half a dozen shots of the Galaxy Note 7, including three front pictures and three backside renders, in three different color options. Assuming those are the colors Samsung runs with at launch, the Galaxy Note 7 will be available in Black Onyx, Silver Titanium, and Blue Coral.

There's no mention of when exactly the Galaxy Note 7 will release, though Samsung typically unveils new versions of the popular phablet in September, save for the Galaxy Note 5, which released in August of last year. With press renders now making the rounds, along with a new User Agent (AA) Profile page on its website quietly confirming the Galaxy Note 7's existence, another August launch certainly seems plausible.

What about the Galaxy Note 6? Word on the web is that Samsung wants to avoid confusion with its Galaxy Edge handset, so it's skipping a generation in the number scheme. However, don't be surprised if Samsung pitches the number jump as being necessary to hype all the changes and improvements the Galaxy Note 7 brings over its predecessor.

Speaking of which, the Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 System-on-Chip (SoC) and either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. It's also said to have a microSD card slot, USB Type-C connector, and a large 4,000 mAh battery.
