Samsung’s Gigantic 18.5-inch Galaxy View Tablet Spied With Exynos 7580 SoC, $600 Price Tag

Samsung's going big with its next Galaxy tablet -- way big. We're talking about the oft-rumored Galaxy View, a slate with a monstrous 18.4-inch display powered by Samsung's own octa-core Exynos 7580 System-on-Chip (SoC) and 2GB of RAM. How do we know this? The specs come courtesy of an overeager online retailer.

The Galaxy View was spotted for pre-order on Adorama's website. Apparently Samsung wasn't ready to let the cat out of the bag on this one, as the listing is no longer live. However, this is the web we're talking about, and as we've said on many occasions, there are no mulligans on the Internet -- once you put something out there, you can't take it back.

If the pre-order page had the specs right, the Galaxy View will also feature a Full HD 1080p resolution (around 120 ppi), 32GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD, 2.1-megapixel front camera with Full HD recording, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, optional LTE connectivity, and a 5,700 mAh battery that's good for up to 8.5 hours of video playback.

There was no mention of a rear camera, which is probably a good thing for a tablet this size. Instead, the backside is dedicated to a kickstand that appears to be permanently attached to the slate.

We're not sure when the Galaxy View will go back up for pre-order, but when it does, expect it to carry a $600 price tag.
