Acer announced the new Iconia Tab A700 tablet which features a 10.1-inch HD 1080p display with a 1920x1200 resolution. This display has a 16:10 aspect ratio, 800:1 contrast ratio and a very wide 178 degree viewing angle. The A700 is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and Android 4.0. Multimedia features include Dolby Mobile 3+ with 5.1-channel home theater surround sound capabilities and a micro HDMI port. About a month ago, Acer revealed a new Iconia Tab A200 tablet running on Ice Cream Sandwich that features a NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core 1 GHz processor. At the time of the announcement, Acer indicated the tablet would ship sometime in January which makes us think we should see the tablet at CES next week.
