HTC 10 Receives $100 Price Cut In The U.S. Along With New Gold And Red Finishes

The HTC 10 is a perfectly competent flagship Android smartphone (see our review here), but it launched with what some thought was a rather lofty price tag: $699 unlocked. And faced with stiff competition from deep-pocketed Samsung and its Galaxy S7/Galaxy S7 Edge flagships, HTC hasn’t exactly found thundering sales success with the smartphone.

Earlier this week, we revealed that T-Mobile has already kicked the HTC 10 out after less than three months of availability. In fact, T-Mobile dropped the HTC 10 faster than it did the sales bomb otherwise known as the BlackBerry Priv.

However, HTC is taking all of this in stride, and is offering another $100 price cut on the HTC 10 via its online store. That means that the smartphone is once again being offered for $599. A separate deal is being offered which allows you to purchase an HTC 10 and a pair of JBL Reflect Aware C headphones for a total of $699. That essentially give you $100 off the cost of the headphones.

If that wasn’t enough, there are also two new colors to choose from for the HTC 10: Topaz Gold and Camellia Red. Both colors, however, are only available for pre-order and won’t ship until October. With Google set to release new Nexus Nougat flagships very shortly, many folks willing to plunk down $600 on a smartphone may not be willing to wait that long.

The HTC 10 features a high-quality unibody chassis, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of memory, and 32GB of internal storage and a 5.2-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) display.
