GIGABYTE Launches First Generation Liquid Cooling System : 3D Galaxy series

Taipei, Taiwan June 16, 2005 - GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, VGA cards, PC coolers and other computing hardware solutions, today announced the new 3D Galaxy liquid cooling system, the company's first generation water cooler for PC enthusiasts and extreme gamers. The new 3D Galaxy is designed to cool the most advanced high-performance PC processors from both Intel and AMD with a minimum of noise and risk of overheating with unique features such as LWP (Low Water Protection) and OHP (Over Heating Protection).

Heat Dissipation Efficiency and Effectiveness:  The GIGABYTE 3D Galaxy Liquid Cooling System uses a thick inch tube that, together with the powerful water pump, enables an impressive 400 L/hr (liters per hour) of circulation to carry heat away from the CPU. With a super-size radiator and 12cm adjustable speed fan, thermal energy is efficiently dispersed from the system – even under extreme over-clocking conditions.

Ultra Low Noise:  With an oversized radiator and large 12cm adjustable speed fan, the GIGABYTE 3D Galaxy Liquid Cooling System provides users with a range of settings to suit their individual requirements. For the noise conscious user, the fan can be slowed to a mere 1200 rpm while continuing to provide sufficient heat dissipation for the system.

Aesthetically Pleasing Design:  The GIGABYTE 3D Galaxy Liquid Cooling System comes with a neat looking blue fan cover designed to compliment the aesthetics of any chassis. The powerful pump is attached to the water tank freeing up space inside the chassis while the unique UV tube and crystal clear water tank carry light from blue LEDs to enhance the visual appeal of the cooling system.

Peace of Mind:  Helping to extend the lifespan of capacitors in the vicinity of the CPU, the GIGABYTE 3D Galaxy Liquid Cooling System incorporates a large fan over the CPU cooling block that blows cool air over the motherboard. The water pump features a ceramic shaft to increase reliability and provides an astounding life expectancy of 20000hrs. Additionally, the 3D Galaxy Liquid Cooling System features LWP (Low Water-level Protection) and OHP (Over Heating Protection) that powers the system down if the water level falls below the standard mark or the temperature gets too high.
