Fallout 4 Nuka-World DLC Previewed In Hour-Long Developer Wasteland Walkthrough

Nuka-World

Bethesda is wrapping up development on Nuka-World, it's final bit of DLC for its award winning Fallout 4 game. It's due for release at the end of the month, which even though at this point is less than a week away, feels like an agonizing wait for arguably the most anticipated add-on for Fallout 4. Ah, but don't fret—rather than pace around anxiously waiting for its release, you can spend an hour taking an extended look at actual game play footage from one of the developers.

Nuka-World's lead artist Mark Teare joined Matt Grandstaff, Bethesda's global community lead, for an hour-long livestream and commentary on the upcoming DLC via Twitch. The livestream is now over, but the video's been posted to YouTube so you can still get a taste of what's in store for what's supposed to be the largest DLC for Fallout 4, trumping even the previous expansion Far Harbor.

In case you're not already familiar, Nuka-World is a vast amusement park in the post-apocalyptic world that's been overrun by Raiders.

"Explore an all-new region with an open wasteland and park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone. Lead lethal gangs of Raiders and use them to conquer settlements, bending the Commonwealth to your will. Nuka World features new quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures, and more," Bethesda explains.

The hour-long gameplay footage doesn't delve too deeply into the story so you don't really have to worry about major spoilers. However, Teare does reveal some interesting tidbits about Nuka-World's development. For example, Bethesda received a lot of feedback from players saying they wanted more to do with Raiders, so that's something the developers took into account with Nuka-World.

You can pre-order Nuka-World for $20 on Steam for PC. It's also shipping to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 30, 2016.
