Canon Rolls Out First EOS Rebel DSLR Cameras To Sport Built-in Wi-Fi And NFC
Canon U.S.A. announced a bunch of new camera models today, including a pair of EOS Rebel digital SLR shooters that are the first in the series to feature built-in Wi-Fi and NFC capabilities. The new EOS Rebel T6s and T6i DSLR cameras also sport a newly developed 24.2-megapixel CMOS imaging sensor, offering the highest resolution available on the EOS line.
The new cameras are aimed at two different types of users. According to Canon, the T6s is suitable for photography enthusiasts and those already experienced with entry-level cameras who now want to tinker with more advanced features and functions, whereas the T6i is intended for more casual photographers and/or first-time DSLR buyers.

More specifically, the EOS Rebel T6s includes a few additional goodies not found on the T6i, including a top LCD panel, quick control dial, horizontal level, built-in HDR movie capabilities, and Servo AF in Live View (allows for continuous tracking of moving subjects during burst mode shooting sequences).

Otherwise, both models sport an ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to 25600), Canon's new Hybrid CMOS AF III image sensor-embedded autofocus system, 3-inch Vari-Angle touchscreen LCD with 1,040,000 dots, and the ability to shoot Full HD 1080p resolution videos at up to 30 frames per second in MP4 format.
Both cameras will be available in April. The EOS Rebel T6s will cost $850 for the body only, and $1,199 bundled with an EF-S 18-135 STM lens. Canon's EOS Rebel T6i will be a little cheaper at $750 for the body only, and $900 bundled with an EF-S 18-55 STM lens, or $1,099 bundled with the EF-S 18-135 STM lens.
