Doom Pumps A Shotgun Slug To The Cranium With ‘Fight Like Hell’ Launch Trailer

We’re getting incredibly close to the May 13th launch of the latest addition to the Doom franchise, and we’re getting excited about the prospects of deftly separating demon heads from their possessed bodies. In an effort to pump up gamers even more ahead of the official launch next week, Bethesda has released a launch trailer for Doom in which they urge you to “Fight like hell.” Message received.

Bethesda saved the best for last, as this is easily the best Doom trailer released yet and gives us a great look at the single-player campaign (although there doesn’t appear to be any footage of the multiplayer aspects of the game or the new multiplayer modes).

In addition to the bloody new trailer, Bethesda has also revealed PC system requirements for Doom:

Minimum

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
  • 8 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
  • 55 GB free HDD space

Recommended

  • Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • Intel Core i7-3770/AMD FX-8350 or better
  • 8 GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB/AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better
  • 55 GB free HDD space

It should be also noted that those who want to seriously bring their ballsy gaming rig to its knees, there will be an Ultra Quality Nightmare graphics setting that will go above and beyond what’s presented with the Ultra setting.

Take that, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers…

With that being said, Steam/Xbox Live/PlayStation Store preloading for Doom begins at 12AM EST on May 11th in the United States for PC. And then on Friday the 13th, you’ll be able to start adding to your body count with some bloody Doom mayhem.
