There are killer chassis and then there are killer chassis, and Thermaltake’s special edition Level 10 Gaming Station is a thing to behold. The unique construction coupled with the fact that it’s made from titanium makes this case a jaw-dropper, but if you want one, you’ll have to be quick--Thermaltake is only making 500 of these babies. The black and silver look is stunning, and Thermaltake says that the titanium construction “not only expresses the quality of durability, light weight, dent- and corrosion resistance, it is also the perfect representation of being able to... Remember that BMW-inspired gaming tower from a while back? Hopefully you've still got yours, because a new accessory has cropped up to complete the pairing. BMW and Thermaltake have joined forces in order to provide the Level 10 M gaming mouse, which might be the most insane looking mousing device this side of a Razer Naga. It's a lightweight, finely tuned piece of machinery, and there are plenty of open spaces to peek around at the particulars. It's divided into lower and top part which seems to float over the base, and the steering element of the mouse can be adjusted in regards to height and... Read more...
Power supplies might be the least glamorous part of a PC build, yet ironically enough, some would argue they're the single most important component you can pick out, especially if you intend to overclock and/or are rocking high-end hardware. Unlike cases and peripherals, most PSUs aren't all that flashy, but Thermaltake's new Toughpower XT 1275W Platinum Snow Edition bucks that trend by adding a bit of "white ecstasy on PC performance," the company says. The Snow Edition unit is a nearly all-white PSU, including the fan blades, which comprise the 14cm dual-ball bearing fan with three fan modes... Read more...
Ever find yourself wondering how many variations of the Level 10 chassis Thermaltake can launch? The answer appears to always be 'at least one more.' The newest version of the funktastic case that was first launched in January 2011 is the Level 10 GT Battle Edition, essentially a Level 10 GT with a camouflaged theme to "evoke the 'battle' spirit of being a gamer," or something like that. The Level 10 GT Battle Edition sports a military green paint job that seems to mesh well with the overall unique design of the chassis. New color scheme notwithstanding, this is the same Level 10 GT as non-Battle... Read more...
Thermaltake and BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA are no strangers to each other. They've been working on concept projects for the past several years, and the two have teamed up once again to unveil a line of Level 10 gaming peripherals starting with the 'Level 10 M Mouse' for gamers. It's as funky looking as Thermaltake's Level 10 case and just as likely to turn heads at LAN parties. As weird as it might look, the Level 10 M Mouse is built with ergonomics in mind. It has a solid aluminum base "to ensure both durability and tenaciousness," and is built with an open design with an air-through... Read more...
It’s been a while since our last case roundup--a long while, actually--so it’s high time we did another. We take a look at a slew of (mostly) mid tower cases on the following pages, including the Antec Eleven Hundred, the Corsair Carbide 400R and 500R, the NZXT Source 220, and Thermaltake Chaser MK-I, each designed for a slightly different consumer. Every case in this roundup has strengths, weaknesses, and features that the others may not have, although each also has its own value proposition. If a case is flashy and feature-laden, in general, it will come with a higher price tag as... Read more...
It’s been a while since our last case roundup--a long while, actually--so it’s high time we did another. We take a look at a slew of (mostly) mid tower cases on the following pages, each designed for a slightly different consumer.  Every case in this roundup has strengths, weaknesses, and features that the others may not have, although each also has its own value proposition.  If a case is flashy and feature-laden, in general, it will come with a higher price tag as well. If it’s more stripped-down, it'll generally costs less. If a case is targeted as an attention... Read more...
Designed by the folks at BMW for Thermaltake, the one gripe that stuck with the original Level 10 case, was that it was gorgeous and drool-worthy perhaps but be prepared to sell that kidney, with its MSRP weighing in at $850 (they're selling for only $699 now).   So Thermaltake set out to design a more affordable follow-on product and the Level 10 GT was born.  The Level 10 GT has similar design cues to Thermaltake's uber-expensive first generation chassis, but is built with a more traditional internal component housing and lower-cost materials.  The GT doesn't catch your eye like...
