When Disney closed LucasArts earlier this year and canceled all of the games under development, it left the future of video games within Star Wars franchise in serious doubt. Now we know what that future is going to look like -- it's got a giant EA logo stamped on it. According to the joint press release, EA now has the exclusive rights to " develop and publish new Star Wars titles for a core gaming audience, spanning all interactive platforms and the most popular game genres, while Disney will retain certain rights to develop new titles within the mobile, social, tablet and online game categories."... As it turns out, the U.S. is a democracy. And while many may feel that their voices are rarely heard, the age of the Internet has given an even stronger echo to those with access to a keyboard and mouse. The White House has deemed that any online petition aimed at the U.S. government will be recognized and responded to, so long as over 25,000 online signers take part. Microsoft and Novell have announced a truce in their ongoing war over Windows based proprietary and Linux open source compatability: Large businesses and organizations typically have complicated computer systems that run both open-source software, such as Linux, and closed- or proprietary-source software from Microsoft.
