The greater the risk, the greater the reward. That is, providing you succeed. When you fail, your failure is only that much greater, as demonstrated here. Toshiba really went out on a limb trying to compete with Sony. Unfortunately for Toshiba that limb was cut off by a saw named Blu-Ray and they are left with a hefty clean up bill. With nearly a billion dollars in losses there are bound to be quite a few people who will be getting pink slips, if they haven't already. |

toshibia is still offering hddvd on some of its notebooks but that will probably change soon |
hd-dvd isnt completly dead i mean if its a hd-dvd burner it would rock if it was only a few bucks more than a regular dvd drive just for the ability to write extra large back up dvd's :-p |

just stockpile up some blank hd dvds that is a good idea |

Wow, that's an expensive failure. Could they be retooling this facility to make PS3's maybe? |
