System76's 17.3" Bonobo Extreme Gaming Laptop Ops For Ubuntu

If you're a gamer, traditionally you probably haven't been super interested in buying a dedicated Linux machine. But times are changing, and with Steam soon to be available for Ubuntu, Linux addicts now have more reason than ever to invest in a new open source rig. System76 has one such machine for sale now, with the new Bonobo Extreme. It's a 17.3" beast with Ubuntu preinstalled, with the pricey base model including a 2.4GHz Intel Core i7-3630QM, a 3GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670MX, 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive, an 8-cell battery and an 8x DVD drive. The panel is a glossy one, and the starting price is just under $1500. Of course, for a gigantic machine with a niche OS, perhaps that's not so outrageous after all. So, Linux users -- you ready to put your money where your mouth is?
