looks good but i think liquid cooling should be able to do better

 It's interesting that the pipes are actually touching thecpu, as opposed to the usual solid hunk of copper and then the pipes.

That's like looking at a Mustang and saying "looks fast but I think a Ferrari would be faster". 

Anyways, the whole point is not to be better than liquid cooling using air, because that's impossible. The Vendetta 2 Cooler and other such devices are only intended to be a more economical and simpler solution to dissipating heat.  As previously mentioned I find it interesting that the copper tubes come in direct contact with the CPU surface. I don't think I have seen that before. I would think the typical design where either a solid piece of copper or aluminum covers the entire surface of the chip would be able to wick away more heat given the greater area of contact. I am curious to know how this design performs.

 i understand that air cooling has gotten better but will never be better tha liquid cooling

Copper is better as wicking heat away from a source, but aluminum is better for dispersing it into air. Copper aluminum hybrids, when done right, are the way to go...

There are many out there like the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme, Noctua NH-U12P, or the Coolink Silentator CPU Coolers.

I did not know that. huh, learn something new everyday! I was always under the assumption all copper was the best.
