MSI Launches new X58 Pro-E Mainboard with DrMOS and True Blu-ray Audio playback support

Your BIOS backup solution - M-Flash Technology
X58 Pro-E integrated M-Flash technology allows all the BIOS information to be stored on a USB drive. In case of an inoperable start, this USB will reset all the BIOS information and brings it to the original state providing you a convenient and safe repair.

True Blu-ray Audio Technology
In order to satisfy the demand of Blu-ray HD movie, MSI X58 Pro-E is using the ALC889 audio chip, which does not only support 7.1 audio channels, but also True Blu-ray Audio decoding. not a bad looking board. No funky colors nor crazy looking heatpipes. looks like a brown pcb not sure why probably would have looked better in black.

I agree. Would look better in black. Still a far cry from the ugly that Gigabyte usually brings to the table.

I'm glad to hear(no pun intended)that onboard audio is getting so good... sound cards will probably become completely pointless eventually.

I haven't bought a sound card in like a decade lol To me, they've already pretty much become pointless lol I don't have good enough speakers(or hearing) to appreciate a really good sound card lol

This board does have a nice look to it. But I love the look of my EVGA Board :-D

I think there will always be a market for them. Just ones with added features like a jack to plug my guitar into.

Yeah thats what I am trying to say. People like me have little use for a sound card, but people like you with a nice studio will continue to find plenty of use for them.
