Microsoft Lumia 940 XL Sports QHD Displays, Snapdragon 810 And Windows 10 Mobile

Rumors have been swirling about the Microsoft's still unannounced Lumia 940 XL, though thanks to multiple leaks, we have at least a rough idea of what to expect. The latest leak comes from data plucked out of AdDuplex, a cross platform promotion network for Windows Phone and Windows Store apps that lets developers promote their software.

The data points to a Microsoft RM-1000 device with a 2560x1440 (2K) resolution display. It's believed this is referring to the Lumia 940 XL, and based on previous rumors, it's expected the handset will debut with a 5.7-inch display.

Microsoft's Lumia 940 XL has already appeared on benchmarking site GFXBench, and if the stats are correct, it will wield a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM. Other rumored specs include 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 20MP PureView camera, and 5MP front-facing camera.

While AdDuplex didn't confirm the size of the Lumia 940 XL's display, it did have an additional listing for the non-XL version, which it lists as having a 5.2-inch screen with a Full HD 1080p resolution. Other details aren't yet known, though according to GFXBench's listing, the Lumia 940 will sport a Snapdragon 808 System-on-Chip.

Both of these devices are expected to run Windows 10 for Mobile.
