Fallout 4 To Receive Regular Free Updates From Bethesda And $30 Season Pass For DLC

With Fallout 4 set to be released in two months, fans are sure to be wondering about what kind of extra content will surround the game. Fortunately, Bethesda has finally come forward with that information, and overall, none of it comes as much of a surprise.

First and foremost, Fallout 4 is going to follow in the footsteps of most AAA games and offer a season pass, for the standard fare price of $30. Bethesda hasn't announced what this pass will entail, but it believes that when all said and done, it will feel like a $40+ value.

DLC aside, the company is also anxious to get on creating post-launch features, and of course is going to be ready to tackle any and all bugs that come along. Given the history of Bethesda games, it does seem likely that Fallout 4 will spawn a number of bugs once it gets into the hands of the masses, so that commitment is important. We don't need the company to pull off a Batman: Arkham Knight, that's for sure.

Finally, modders will be happy to know that nothing is being held back with Fallout 4. In fact, the game's entire development process has evolved while keeping modding in mind. Early next year, Bethesda will release its Creation Kit for the game, which it says will be the exact same tool it itself used for development. What's really neat about this is that these mods will be able to apply to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

As mentioned above, Fallout 4 will be hitting the PC as well as Microsoft's and Sony's console, on November 10. It seems likely that the season pass won't be able to be purchased until launch, mostly since the company doesn't have a clear idea at the moment of all it will include.
