Adesso Reveals $100 MKB-135B Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

We can't kid about this one: our juices get flowing each time we see anyone produce a new mechanical keyboard. They're few and far between, and hunting one down can be a real chore. Most average PC users don't even know that multiple keyboard builds exist, with only hardcore gamers usually understanding the difference. We have explained the merits of mechanical keyboards before, and if you have been waiting to find one to fit your budget, Adesso might have it.

This company is known for producing very atypical keyboards; from HTPC boards to boards with trackballs built right into the case. So with odd, comes mechanical. The new MKB-135B features the mechanical key switch technology that we think holds up so well under pressure, not to mention an integrated USB hub and audio jack, all ensuring "accurate keystrokes and improved efficiency." The keyboard itself is wrapping in a standard full-size keyboard layout, with 104 keys that can handle 20 million keystrokes.

It's available now at various retailers for $99.99, and while that may sound like a lot, it's not that much more expensive than some of the higher-end Logitech boards that gamers willingly pony up for.

The MKB-135B features the following:

  • Mechanical key switch technology for improved tactile sound and fast feedback
  • Lifecycle of 20 million mechanical keystrokes for extended use
  • N-key rollover function for multiple keys pressed at the same time
  • Standard full-sized keyboard featuring 104 keys
  • Integrated USB hub and audio/microphone jack
